Happy Birthday!!!

In days long past (September 29, 2015) I was a fresh SRE just a month into taking cases. I get a dark-site case from Naval Underwater Research Center (NURC) and the guy on the other end is complaining about data resiliency being red. So, I get on the phone to start trying to figure this out and we go back and forth gathering logs, and we find that there's a corrupt egroup.
The guy faxes logs back and forth to me and I work with Cheng Shao from DevX to figure out what is going on, and fix this egroup. Anyway, next phone-call we have is to remediate the issue, and I have @brian.lyon and @matthew.gauch come over to take a look with me -- a mistake that I will never live down. So the guy from NURC starts reading the logs to me and says "I see all these IO929 errors" and I just mute my headset and go "what the fuck is an IO929 error?" Brian Lyon, with his arms crossed, and brow thoroughly furrowed responds "It's the date."
I cup my head in my hands in despair as I have now proven that I am a fool.
